About the event
This EAL accredited course is designed for individuals where the candidate requires access or to work in the proximity of High Voltage electrical equipment.
The individuals are expected to have zero or limited experience of working in a High Voltage substation or to be aware of the hazards and dangers associated.
Course Content:
· Classroom Safety of Substations
· Basic understanding of Electrical Safety Rules (ESR’s)
· Access and egress into HV Substations
· Type of High Voltage Equipment
· Hazards and Dangers associated with HV Substations
· Safety Documentation
This course is designed for individuals who will be required to work in the proximity of High Voltage electrical equipment. The candidate may be either electrically trained or non-electrical. The course will include both Theory and Practical Assessments.
The theoretical component will be assessed through a computer-based exam.
