About the event
This EAL accredited course is designed for individuals where the candidate requires an advanced knowledge and understanding of operating both High and Low Voltage equipment. The individuals should already have had previous experience of working in a high voltage substation and a knowledge of working on High Voltage Electrical Equipment.
The course has a rough split of 50% classroom-based learning and 50% substation practical learning. The candidates will be required to operate, isolate and earth high voltage equipment, control the safety of the system by completing switching schedules, diagrams and issuing of permits.

Legislation and understanding Electrical Safety Rules (ESR’s)
Switchgear Safety
